DESIGN SERVICE

Housing developers can call upon the services of the Home Choice design team to provide comprehensive heating layouts.
Based at the Ideal Stelrad Group offices in Newcastle, the design team consists of six fully qualified Building Services engineers with a combined knowledge of over 100 years in the design and installation of domestic and commercial aspects of the industry, along with a trainee who is currently at Northumbria University studying Building Services.

To enable the team to prepare layouts, developers need to provide architectural drawings that will show floor plans and elevations, ‘U’ values or at least the actual construction from which we will be able to calculate them.

From this information we will prepare a system to the latest requirements of all relevant British Standards and the current edition of the Building Regulations and / or to the client’s very own specific requirements.

The design package will consist of a full schedule of equipment (boilers, radiators and all ancillary components required), detailed layout drawings showing boiler and radiator positions, all pipe runs and their required sizes for both the heating and domestic water services, a typical diagrammatic sketch of the arrangement between the boiler and cylinder cupboard and a comprehensive general specification.

We will also offer a system performance guarantee of the system, provided that the system has been installed exactly as indicated on the layout drawings.
